I'll never forget how much work this shot took. Sure, these bunchberry plants are common, but still, I had to meander back and forth through the forest for quite some time before I found a trio of blooms in the arrangement I wanted. I am very happy with the way I caught them in this shot.
My photography "career" began as a young man fascinated with nature. Initially, my subject matter was birds but it didn't take long before that blossomed into all other aspects of nature and then landscapes, old buildings, architecture, etc. As my photographic passion and skills evolved I began to market my work. Getting honest critique from photographers who knew what they were talking about, helped motivate me to hone my skills. I looked for other photographers whose work reflected the type of work I wanted to do and spent time studying their images.
