This beautiful White Admiral butterfly was found resting on a fern early one morning in the Wisconsin northwoods. It allowed me to shoot photos for quite some time before it finally warmed up and flew off.
My photography "career" began as a young man fascinated with nature. Initially, my subject matter was birds but it didn't take long before that blossomed into all other aspects of nature and then landscapes, old buildings, architecture, etc. As my photographic passion and skills evolved I began to market my work. Getting honest critique from photographers who knew what they were talking about, helped motivate me to hone my skills. I looked for other photographers whose work reflected the type of work I wanted to do and spent time studying their images.
